WELTE MIGNON Push-Up Player
Music from the grand piano produced with a reproducing instrument.
Studio-quality sound.
HUPFELD PHONOLA Push-Up Player
"Only" a treadle player? It can do much more!
Watching and listening here is free – and a pleasure.
DUO ART Reproducing Grand – Demonstration Roll
This roll tests the instrument in every register and nuance.
Even the smallest faults become apparent here.
When a customer inserts this test roll, the piano builder breaks into a nervous sweat.
If the restoration was done properly, listening to this test roll is pure enjoyment.
Rhapsody in Blue – Part 1 on the DUO ART Grand
Includes scenes from the restoration.
Rhapsody in Blue – Part 2 on the DUO ART Grand
The grand piano was badly damaged during transport.
One wind chest was completely destroyed and two more were damaged.
The customer doubted the instrument would ever play again.
We made it possible by building a new wind chest and restoring the action.
Liebestraum on DUO ART
Nothing more needs to be said – simply enjoy it.
Includes clips from the disassembly of the instrument.
DUO ART – Air Supply via Treadle Pedals
The instrument has an electric motor but can also play its rolls with foot pedals.
The pedals generate the air that pneumatically controls the entire mechanism.
Of course the grand piano can also be played manually like any other instrument.
POPPER PIANO
This beautiful instrument was extensively restored for a discerning client.
Built around 1910.
It later received a coin-operated mechanism.
JUST A TREADLE PLAYER?
This may only be a simple treadle player, but it makes wonderful music.
With classical pieces you can shape the dynamics yourself – often better than with a finished reproducing roll.
The pneumatic system was completely overhauled.
NEW ROLLS
Here is the same treadle player again.
The customer wanted something lively – this roll really brings the room to life.
Tri Phonola 1
FEURICH – TRI PHONOLA
You are listening to a foxtrot:
"Yearning" (Ja, der Sonnenschein)
Customer restoration: the instrument had been overhauled elsewhere about 20 years ago but was hardly played any more.
It took a lot of patience to track down every fault.
The patience paid off – here you can hear and see the result.
Tri Phonola 2
The same FEURICH TRI PHONOLA
with a Viennese song:
"Vienna, City of My Dreams"
HUPFELD – RÖNISCH – PHONOLA
A "HUPFELD – RÖNISCH – PHONOLA" self-playing piano.
Several tunings will, of course, follow.
New strings need a little time before they hold their tension.
All strings together exert around 18 tonnes of tension.
Enjoy listening and watching.
HUPFELD ANIMATIC CLAVITIST
This piano was meticulously restored for a discerning customer.
Everything is original.
Built around 1920.
AMPICO Reproducing Grand
An AMPICO reproducing grand piano.
The instrument is privately owned.
It came to our workshop for restoration.
With great effort and sensitivity we shaped the expression so it truly speaks.
You can hear the result here.
Liebestraum
Liszt's "Liebestraum",
played on AMPICO with great feeling.
We placed a lot of emphasis on the expression settings.
The manometers provided continuous control.
BLÜTHNER Hupfeld Player
"Every Day with You Alone – Marie Luise"
Customer restoration – only the piano itself was overhauled.
New pinblock, tuning pins, strings, and hammers.
Soundboard refurbished.
The pneumatic system was fine-tuned.
BLÜTHNER Hupfeld Player
Stars and Stripes
The expression is shaped with both hands and feet.
AEOLIAN PIPE ORGAN
Me – setting up the organ.
After many years of silence I was able to bring the organ back to life.
A beautiful yet challenging task.
... accomplished ...
Wurlitzer Theatre Organ
The world's largest theatre organ.
I have heard it live.
Recordings can never capture it like that.
Still, here is a small treat.
Wurlitzer Concert
Pure fascination.
The concert lasted 90 minutes.
At times you hardly dared to move in your seat.
No phone rang and nobody coughed –
anyone who had would have left out of embarrassment.
A fantastic experience.
ECO SAFE Water Guard
The ECO SAFE water guard is presented here.
It really should not be missing in any home.
Smoke detectors protect against fire,
the ECO SAFE prevents water damage.
Who installs it professionally?
In my case it was installed by:

Fountains in Las Vegas
You simply have to experience this yourself.
The technology is incredible.
The music controls the water jets.
RODEWISCH – A Winter's Tale
I was able to capture this footage in 2010.
It was actually far too cold for filming.
At minus 20 °C you can hardly hold the camera.
Rodewisch in Autumn
My lovely dog made sure I kept moving.
You simply have to capture images like these.
Trip into the Snow
You are almost alone in the world out there.
Untouched nature.
That is where lunch tastes best.
25th Anniversary
Those were the days.
Now I can already celebrate the 30th anniversary.
The work is still enjoyable.
That is what matters most.
Rodewisch in 4K
A drone flight over part of Rodewisch.
Simply enjoy the bird's-eye view – even better in full-screen and 4K.
More to come soon.
